Would you like to stay a while and listen to a tale?

 This very specific one narrates the journey of two rather peculiar individuals. Two which, despite disliking each other, have to work together to escape an enchanted forest, to find out why they've been trapped there and to unveil its secrets. 

This, my friend, is the Tale of the Woods.

What is Tale of The Woods?

"Tale of The Woods" is the first project of our Indie Studio: Twilight Games

This game is planned to be a platformer with two protagonists:

Hubert, the Demi-frog

Hubert has been trapped in the woods for longer then Morgan, and as such he will guide him through at the best of his capabilities, altho his bitter character will soon proove that he is hardly a good teacher.

if it wasn't enough, this old man is both incredibly close minded, and incredibly uncooperative.

why he found himself in the woods is a mistery to everyone, as he never discolsed the reason.

and Morgan, the Elf
Morgan is a prodigy in the magical arts, and top of the class in his college; for most of his life, he never needed to lift a finger also thanks to his parent's incredible wealth. and so, with his bloated ego, marched into the woods, without knowing the journey that awaited him there...

We plan to let you experience their journey through this enchanted forest, its ancient traps, tricks and their way towards an exit, together.

Inspirations

Tale of The Woods is heavly inspired both by Over the Garden Wall and Studio Ghibli in terms of graphics, and in gameplay it takes a lot after Hollow Knight and Animal Well.

The themes of the game instead take after old fairy tales, often having to do with the fae and all manners of enchanting critters and creatures, with the end goal being a lesson to the main character, and consequentially to the reader.

When will it release?

We... have honestly no idea. what we do know is, before making the full on game, we will make a free demo.
